VIEWING: Thursday 11th and Friday 12th December from 09.30 to 16.30. Please note that there will be no refreshments available.
As many of you are aware I was seriously ill earlier this year. As a result of this I have decided it is time to retire and spend more time with my family. We were approached in the summer by parties interested in the freehold property and we have now agreed a sale. The saleroom will close. My brother Paul will continue with his property management and valuations and will go into partnership with another surveyor.
It has been very hard for me to make this decision. My father, Wally, started the business in Oundle in 1967. I used to go at help at the sales in the early 1970’s once I had finished my school day. When I joined the business in 1985 the saleroom was my love and I have thoroughly enjoyed running the business and making so many friends amongst my customer base. I will miss you all but I am afraid that health and family have to come first.
Our last sale will be on Saturday 13th December and we will then make the building ready to hand over to the new owners to run their own (non auction) business. I had wanted to be able to give you all more notice but unfortunately sorting the legalities for the sale took far longer than expected.
I would just like to thank you all for being loyal customers and true friends over many years.
I hope to see many of you at the sale on 13th December and then around and about as Catherine and I will stay in Oundle.
